Bird Thai Restaurant
At restaurant Bird you imagine yourself in Thailand. According to the owners of Bird, the dishes are often even better than in Thailand itself! Such a statement demands to be tested, don't you think? Bird was the first Thai restaurant in Chinatown Amsterdam. The restaurant has been located on the popular Zeedijk since 1998 and is widely known by locals and people from (far) outside of Amsterdam. There are at least 110 seats in the restaurant, divided into three separate rooms, so that the restaurant does not feel massive. Restaurant Bird is a real walk-in and walk-out restaurant: if there is no table available, you can wait and enjoy a drink at the cozy bar until a table becomes available. Groups are welcome, but reservations are unfortunately not possible; you can better go to Bird's sister: Silom Thai Brasserie.
Bird's specialties
In the kitchen the chefs only work with fresh products to guarantee quality. Bird specializes in red and green curry sauces, which can be combined with fish, shrimps, steak, chicken or pork. Thai cuisine uses a lot of vegetables, hence the large selection of vegetarian dishes. It is also possible to take away the meals, in that case you will receive a 10% discount. Take a look at the menu with the beautiful photos! And did you know that Bird serves a lunch menu for a good price from noon to 4pm?
