This authentic Old Dutch bar dates from 1789 and is situated at the opposite of Central Station. It has a beautiful classical interior and a wide range of drinks. The café consists of several layers, so if you take a small staircase you can look up above the other visitors and enjoy your cup of coffee or a nice drink. There is a pool table in the basement, which you can use for free when ordering a drink. De Groote Swaen is the perfect location for a drink in a cozy, VOC-like atmosphere.
